Little Rock, Arkansas – Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects is pleased to announce that it received the first annual U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Best of Building award for Best Interior Design Firm – Midsize. As an Arkansas-based architectural and interior design firm, it was the only firm in the State to receive this national award.
“Recognizing that people spend 90 percent of their time indoors, we strive to create spaces that are livable, sustainable and inspiring,” said Kim Prescott, Director of Interiors/Associate Principal, Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects. “It is also important that the design be unified in which the inside, as well as the outside, reflects the purposes and aspirations of the client.”
The Best of Building Awards celebrates the year’s best products, projects, organizations and individuals making an impact in green building. Nominees and winners were selected exclusively by the members of USGBC, a vibrant and diverse community of nearly 13,000 of the world’s leading organizations invested in sustainability.
Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects also accepted the Member Firm of the Year award from the USGBC Arkansas Chapter at its annual Green Tie Awards Dinner. Each year the Chapter recognizes projects, companies and individuals for their significant achievements in sustainable design.
