When the original three-story brick building at West Junior High was determined to be functionally obsolete, the firm replaced classroom space previously housed in the original building with a new two-story masonry building. Special activity spaces, such as band and music rooms, were grouped in triangular masses at the main entrance and a covered walk provides a protected path to the cafeteria building.
