This renovated 21,000 sf grocery store provides space for CareLink’s Kitchen Facility which supports its Meals on Wheels program and an Adult Respite Center.
CareLink is a nonprofit agency that provides comprehensive resources for older people and their families in central Arkansas. The Meals on Wheels program provides hundreds of meals daily to homebound older people who are unable to shop or prepare their own meals. The Respite Center provides relief for family caregivers allowing them a break from their duties, knowing loved ones are in good hands. The historic deco style front facade was both resorted and renovated in a modern style providing a new iconic image for CareLink and opportunities for conveying the CareLInk logo in prominent ways. The Respite Center accommodates up to 90 clients and is designed with warm finishes and colors to provide a comfortable residential feel. The new state of the art commercial kitchen occupies the back half of the building and contains all equipment required to support the Meals On Wheels Program. Complete Cooking Equipment along with Walk in Freezers, Refrigerators, Dry Storage areas which provide foods storage. Volunteer areas and food transportation storage areas support the deliveries. The building was completely renovated on the interior with new electrical and mechanical systems.
