The year-round Quapaw Area Council Boy Scouts Training Center is comprised of dining, education and lodging wings centered on one common lobby. Resembling traditional “WPA” era log cabins, the cabins have exposed masonry walls, trusses of simple framing lumber, stained concrete floors and exposed wood ceilings and walls. A second pool, pool house, and remote camp latrines were later added. The structures breathe naturally, incorporating elevated walls and open roof trusses.
