Interstate 40 between North Little Rock and Memphis is one of the nation’s most heavily traveled stretches of highway in the country, with 40,000 vehicles per day passing the Maverick Transportation campus. Maverick sees each person as a potential driver or customer. As one of the most aggressive carriers in promoting technology, Maverick desired a training center that not only reflected their mission, but one that also put it on display.
Our expansion of the existing training center added four classrooms for a total of seven, one of which has sound-proof, adjustable walls to fit specific class-size needs. The expansion added five bays for a total of eight, allowing students to train on each type of truck and various types of loads. An all glass high-bay pavilion faces the interstate, acting as a showroom displaying Maverick’s training expertise to the world. Materials such as steel, glass and wood, all primary elements transported by the Maverick trucks for three key customers, were incorporated prominently into the facility.
