The expansion and renovation of the Walton Arts Center, originally constructed in 1990, provides a much-needed expansion of public lobby space, an expansion and renovation of the existing Starr Theater, a new Donor Lounge, code-required restroom expansion and renovation to provide accessibility, along with improvements and additions to the back of house support space for both Baum Walker Hall and Starr Theater. In addition, site improvements help pedestrian access to the new “front door” and provide a public outdoor gathering space. The building additions provide a new public face for the Walton Arts Center, updating its appearance and enhancing its urban character and presence in downtown Fayetteville.
